Does the Eufy E15's GPS tracking need a paid data plan?

Yes, after a free trial. Eufy include a short free data trial with a new mower, after which the 4G features, including GPS tracking away from home Wi-Fi, run on a paid data plan bought through the app. The SIM is embedded in the mower and cannot be removed or swapped.

How short does my grass need to be before the Eufy E15's first run?

Under 9cm. Eufy advise cutting the lawn below 9cm before the E15's first run, and trimming any boundary grass taller than that so the mower can map cleanly. If the lawn has got away from you, lower the cutting height gradually across several sessions rather than trying to take it all in one pass.

How much lawn does the Eufy E15 cover on one charge?

Eufy rate the E15 at 150 to 270 square metres per charge, depending on grass conditions, terrain and cutting height. It returns to the base station by itself and automatically resumes the unfinished task once charged, so a larger lawn is completed across several runs without needing to be restarted.

Where does the Eufy E15's base station need to go?

Eufy ask for a clear straight run of at least 5 metres in front of the base station, fixed down with nails on grass or glue on a hard surface, with the charging cable kept 30cm above ground to keep water out. Each base station supports one map of the garden.
