A wire-free autonomous robotic lawnmower for gardens up to 900m2:

The Castelgarden XR750 is a fully autonomous robotic lawnmower that requires no boundary wire installation. Using Castelgarden's patented RTK AGS (Active Guidance System) technology, it navigates your garden using satellite positioning to precisely map and systematically cover your entire lawn across up to 5 cutting zones. Light and well-balanced, its brushless motor and 4 pivoting blades deliver a clean, high-quality cut that leaves a greener and healthier lawn after every session.

Systematic mowing with 4 striping directions for a beautifully finished lawn:

The RTK AGS system combines real-time kinematic satellite positioning with a predictive algorithm that compensates for areas of weaker satellite signal, such as under trees or near garden structures. The result is a robot that cuts in straight, systematic patterns rather than random paths, avoiding over-mowing and wasted energy. With 4 striping directions, you can choose from a variety of aesthetic mowing effects including parallel stripes, diagonal and cross patterns to suit your preference.

No boundary wire, easy installation and full app control:

Because the XR750 uses RTK satellite navigation, there is no perimeter wire to install or maintain. Setup is straightforward, and the mower is fully manageable via app over GPRS-4G, allowing you to schedule mowing sessions, adjust cutting heights between 20 and 60mm, set zone priorities, and monitor status remotely at any time. If your garden layout changes, the cutting area and perimeter can be updated directly from the app without any physical adjustments.

Rain sensor, automatic charging and app lock for smart, secure operation:

The XR750 includes a rain sensor that pauses mowing in wet conditions and resumes automatically when suitable. The automatic charging system returns the mower to its base station independently, and the app lock feature prevents unauthorised use. Connectivity is included for the lifetime of the robot with no subscription required, and all data is securely stored in the STIGA Cloud in Europe.

45% slope capability and a brushless motor built for lasting performance:

With a maximum slope rating of 45%, the XR750 handles inclined, uneven, and multi-level gardens with confidence. The brushless motor delivers efficient, quiet operation throughout the mowing season with reduced maintenance requirements compared to traditional motors, making it a reliable long-term investment for any garden.

A premium wire-free robot mower for Irish lawns, backed by Castelgarden's 50-year heritage:

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the Castelgarden XR750 autonomous robot lawnmower work?

The Castelgarden XR750 is a GPS robotic lawnmower that navigates using satellite signal and patented AGS technology, with no boundary wire required. Instead of a physical perimeter cable, the mowing boundary is set entirely through the STIGA.GO App on your smartphone. The robot trims the lawn at scheduled intervals, scatters the fine grass clippings back onto the lawn as a natural mulch fertiliser, and automatically returns to its charging station when the session is complete or battery is low. It is a maintaining mower, meaning it cuts little and often to keep your lawn in consistently healthy condition.

What is AGS technology and why does it matter for robot mowers in Ireland?

AGS (Active Guidance System) is Castelgarden's patented navigation technology that makes the XR750 one of the most reliable GPS robotic lawnmowers available in Ireland. Irish gardens often include trees, hedges, sheds, and garden walls that can interrupt satellite signal. AGS solves this by learning and mapping your garden over a short learning phase of approximately 3 days, identifying exactly where and when satellite signal is strong enough to mow uninterrupted. Once mapped, the robot plans each mowing session in advance to avoid signal blind spots entirely, preventing stoppages without any input from the owner.

Can the Castelgarden XR750 robot mower work in the rain?

Yes, the Castelgarden XR750 robotic lawnmower can technically operate in the rain, but it is strongly recommended to activate the built-in rain sensors. When the rain sensors detect rainfall, the automatic lawn mower robot will stop mowing, return to the charging station, and wait for the next scheduled mowing cycle. This protects both the lawn surface and the quality of cut, as mowing wet grass can cause damage to the lawn.

Can an autonomous robot lawnmower work at night?

The Castelgarden XR750 is capable of mowing at night, but it is not recommended. Grass retains high moisture levels overnight, which can compromise cut quality and lawn health. Irish gardens also support nocturnal wildlife such as hedgehogs and insects, and night mowing is best avoided to protect the local ecosystem. Scheduling mowing sessions during daylight hours produces the best results for both lawn health and garden biodiversity.

Why is it recommended to schedule two mowing sessions per day?

Scheduling two shorter daily mowing sessions is the best practice for robot lawn mowers in Ireland because it allows the grass time to recover between cuts. The XR750 leaves a minimum of 5 hours between mowing cycles, giving grass blades enough time to seal in moisture, stand upright again, and continue growing healthily before the next trim. This frequent, light cutting approach produces a consistently even and greener lawn compared to less frequent, deeper cuts from a conventional mower.
