The Easi Plumb Hemp & Compound Kit is the oldest and most established method of jointing threaded union. This non-toxic kit should be used sparingly as a thick layer may break out the female thread. The thin sections of hemp string are wound around the threads in the opposite direction to that used to thread the fitting into place.
