Larger multi function air fryer ovens at 12 and 17 litres cost about the same but work from a shelf rather than a basket, so they bake and roast a small tray and act as a second oven, at the cost of taking a lot more counter space. Traditional deep fat fryers with 3 to 5 litre oil capacity are also here for anyone who wants proper chip-shop results rather than air-fried ones. If you are buying for a family of four or more, look at the 9 litre dual basket model in this range rather than a compact machine, because running two batches through a small fryer gets old quickly.
